Elastic Hair Ties

We've all seen those stretchy elastic hair ties that everyone seems to be wearing recently. They're cute and don't give you creases in your hair, but what's up with the price?! I was in Free People the other day and four hair ties were $10. Why waste that precious money for a piece of fabric? Okay you know what's coming next....DIY!

What you'll need:

  • elastic material (comes with enough to make tons of hair ties!)
  • scissors
  • ruler or some tool to measure with (optional)
Steps:
1. Measure about 7 1/2 inches (depending on the thickness of your hair it may be more or less) or estimate on the elastic material

2. Cut the material

3. Tie a knot at the end of the strand of material

*Tip: Make a headband to keep those wispies or bangs from flying in your face. Sometimes I like to rhinestone them also or add a cute bead to the hair-tie to bedazzle it. Get creative! :)
