New Years Prep
I am finally flying home! I can't wait to be back home and spend the beginning of the new year with my family and friends! I hope everyone has a new years resolution, whether it is not eating candy, being nicer to people, losing weight, living with no fear, or anything. This year, write it down, and really try to do! Nothing feels better than accomplishing a goal so go for it. :) Happy New Year everyone! Let's make 2013 the best so far!!

My Rules of Fashion
Although I say there are no technical "rules" for fashion, these are some guidelines I like to follow and it would be good for other people to also!
1. Dress for yourself, no one else.
2. Never wear anything once.
3. The fit of an outfit makes or breaks the outfit.
4. Looser is always better than tighter.
5. Be willing to spend a little more on something nice that you will keep for a while (rather than buying something cheap to save money and wearing it once).
6. Just because an outfit is being strut down the runway doesn't mean it should actually be strut down the streets.
7. Always accent your best quality.
8. Wear something that makes you nervous- take a risk!
9. Dress based upon your mood.
10. Never wear a kitten heal (unless you can really pull it off which 99% of women can't, sorry!).
Do you have any you would add to the list??

Fun Friday Favorites
Today I am flying from Washington, D.C. to Ohio! I better brace myself for the cold weather!! As I am writing this, all I can think about is the tons of yummy food I have eaten during the holidays! Because of this, I am going to show you my favorite athletic clothing store... Lululemon of course! Here are some of my favorites by them. Everyone have a fun weekend!!
{Barre Pulse Pant (got them for Christmas!): Lulu is no longer selling them online but go get a pair at the store!}
{Free To Be Bra: I have an obsession with Lulu sports bras, I have five now :)}

Merry Christmas!
{Merry Christmas from my sisters and I!}
Finally... Christmas has arrived! I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas! On special holidays like these, we should all spend time with our families reminiscing on the good times. I love all of my family and my traditions like our Christmas morning special breakfast and opening one present on Christmas Eve. However, this year, I want to start a new tradition. On Christmas, my family and I will each write down three things we want to do before we pass away. One that is extreme (as in expensive or lot of time needed), and two that are more practical. Then, we have to do at least 1 of the 3 things for each person by the next Christmas! I am so excited to begin this new Christmas tradition!
Everyone have an amazing Christmas!

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies
My friends and I always have a Christmas party each year. Usually we make gingerbread houses but this year we decided to do a cookie exchange! I decided to make peanut butter kiss cookies.
At our Christmas party, we also did a white elephant exchange. It was so much fun!

The North Pole Crew
One of my favorite parts of Christmas is finding cute ways to incorporate the theme in decor. I found these Christmas bottle outfit slips at Bed Bath and Beyond. They were just too adorable to pass up I had to get them! I even picked wine bottles sizes that go with the outfit. For example, I made sure Santa was taller than Mrs. Clause and for the elves I picked the two smallest ones. For child friendly you can use sparkling apple cider too!

Procrastination Ideas
Tomorrow is officially my last day of school of 2012! One more final to go! As I am procrastinating, I decided I need to post something because I have been neglecting my duties on my blog! (Sorry to you all) I am so excited to finally have some time to rewind, relax, work on my blog, workout, cook, and of course, get into the holiday spirit!
Here is an outfit idea I want to share with you all that I absolutely adore! If only I could pull it right out of the computer and put the outfit into my closet!

Inspiration for the Week
This is such a bitter sweet week. I have dreaded finals which I do not feel ready for at all, yet once it is all over, I will finally be able to truly enjoy the Christmas/holiday season! To cheer me up and to make me push through this week, I am posting some pictures (that are not mine) so make me smile. :)

Wallet Decisions
Sorry I haven't posted the last three days! So many things have been going on that I just haven't had time or inspiration to sit down and post. But I am happy to finally be back!
Today my mom and I spent several hours (against my will) at the mall shopping for our family members for Christmas. She also wanted to me show her things I wanted. Maybe because I was focused on what to get for everyone else or maybe because I felt like my feet were going to fall off, I was having a hard time finding things that I wanted! But I know one thing... I need/want a new wallet. I seem to be stuck between three, so here are the options. However, when I was searching for pictures of the three, I found another I liked, which is the last wallet. Which is your favorite?

Chocolate Toffee
I love baking desserts like cookies, brownies, and cake. But sometimes it is fun to mix it up with other delightful sweets like lemon bars, caramel apples, or toffee! My sister's boyfriend enlisted in the air force this year and now that he has his phone back, he is begging me for some homemade sweets! I thought this was the perfect opportunity to make my first attempt at baking toffee. (and I think it went great!)
The recipe says to add almonds but I was out and too lazy to drive to the store. :) Feel free to try different things on top. I wonder how peppermint would be....
Don't be afraid to try this! It was way easier than I thought it would be!
